Headteacher's Welcome

Dear Parents / Carers,

Welcome to our school. We hope you will find this school prospectus gives you all the information you need. If there is some additional information you would like or you wish to discuss anything further, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Visits to the school are always welcome. The best time to visit us is during the day; when you can really see what it is like for the children. If you cannot come during the day, we are more than happy to show you around after school until about 6 pm.

At Great Paxton Church of England Primary School, we work in close partnership with parents and carers. We appreciate the importance of involving parents and carers in their children’s education and the positive impact this has on learning outcomes. We encourage regular two way communication between parents and carers and the school. Our monthly newsletter usually contains a question for parents and carers. Your responses to these questions are considered carefully as part of our decision-making process. We value parents and carers making a contribution to the life of the school whether as a volunteer in the classroom, a member of the PTA or as a parent governor.

We will do our utmost to motivate and support your child; our philosophy is rooted in the knowledge that children need to be safe and happy in order to achieve their very best. In 2013 the school was inspected by Ofsted and by SIAS in 2015. The outcome of both inspections was extremely positive, drawing attention to the high quality education provided by Great Paxton Church of England School.

We look forward to working with you to ensure that your child has a positive and memorable experience of school.

Yours sincerely,
L Frost, Headteacher
