“Every day is unique. School should be fun and children should want to come to school as we all know you do your best when you are happy.  Supporting and guiding people to give children the best possible start to their lives is what attracts me to the job. Personally, not many people will know this, but I am a Manchester United fan!”

Anne Miller

Deputy Headteacher

“I have been a teacher since 1988 and taught all ages from 3-11. I moved to Cambridgeshire thirteen years ago and joined Great Paxton in January 2000. I love Cambridge and feel very privileged to live and work in such a beautiful part of the country”.

Antonia James – I have been part of the Great Paxton School family since September 2018 and I love it just as much now as I did the first time I visited our very lovely school. The moment I walked in, I knew this is where I wanted my teaching journey to happen!

Teaching is my passion and the children’s energy and inquisitiveness is what inspires me to make a creative learning environment. I am always surprised with how much I learn from the children every day.

At home, I have two very different but equally as amazing daughters. Some of our favourite ways to spend our weekends include going for walks, eating cake at the coffee shop, baking, painting and visiting our caravan on the coast!

“My motto is - Teach, but never stop learning.

Each day I enjoy being surrounded by curiosity, imagination and positivity. At home I love being with my friends and family and I have a passion for dance and zumba.  I'm a keen Villa fan."

 Amy Jones

I was lucky enough to join Great Paxton school in September 2022 and I am loving every minute. I have the privilege of working with inspirational children every day who love to learn and have a thirst for knowledge. I am a mum to 2 little ones, both of whom keep me very busy! When I am not being kept busy by my children, I like to sing, bake and go on long walks in the countryside.

Annette Riley

Cover teacher

I have been a teacher since 1994 and have taught all ages from 3-11. I have taught in Hertfordshire, Surrey, Cambridgeshire and Dubai.  I moved to Cambridgeshire in 2001 and did supply and part time contracts ,across Early Years and the two Key stages, while I was bringing up my two children. In 2008 my family and I moved to Dubai for 10 years. It was a fantastic experience and a great opportunity to experience teaching in large international schools. Although I enjoyed my time there, I am very pleased to be back in St Neots and teaching in a small, friendly, village school. In my spare time I enjoy the theatre, baking, walking, reading, crocheting and knitting.

  •  We as a staff give reassurance to our children that we are there for them as Jesus was for his flock. We will care and look after them, we will teach them and do not leave anyone behind.
